The zombie apocalypse is about to get delightfully weird. Solo developer Rashad Ibrahimli, in partnership with indie.io, is thrilled to announce that his off-the-wall top-down shooter, The Zombie Slayers, will launch on Steam on October 31, 2025. Get ready for a Halloween filled with chaos, gore, and an endless supply of absurdity.
This fast-paced co-op shooter lets players team up with up to five friends—or go solo—to survive relentless waves of the undead. The game encourages players to weaponize everything in their environment, including lobbing grenades, deploying turrets, and the game’s signature absurdity: feeding baby defenders their tactical milk reloads.
The Zombie Slayers is packed with modes designed for pure, unfiltered carnage. Survival Stories offers mission-based objectives, looting, and plenty of zombie swarms, while Brutal Zombie Waves challenges players to endure increasingly fast, tough, and dumb hordes of the undead to climb the Steam leaderboards.
The core of the game is its signature chaotic humor. Players can literally “make” babies to serve as infantry, build wild defenses ranging from barbed wire to stork-delivered infant reinforcements, and, of course, dance mid-battle just for the fun of it. As players level up and unlock ridiculous outfits, they can charge into the apocalypse looking fabulous.
Rashad Ibrahimli, a passionate solo developer and 3D artist from Azerbaijan, created the game to showcase his love for creativity, humor, and cooperative play.
