The rhythm-action revolution is back. Metronomik has announced that the highly anticipated sequel, No Straight Roads 2 (NSR2), will take center stage at two major international events from December 20–21, 2025. Fans in both Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur will be the first to get hands-on experience with the musical adventure that pits indie rock against the world.
A Tale of Two Cities
In Japan, NSR2 will join the prestigious Shueisha Games lineup at JUMP FESTA 26, held at Tokyo’s Makuhari Messe. Meanwhile, in the developers' home turf of Malaysia, a fully playable demo will be available throughout COMIC FIESTA 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
Exclusive Fan Experiences in Kuala Lumpur
Beyond the demo stations, Comic Fiesta attendees can dive deeper into the world of Vinyl City with a special conference on the Tea Stage (Dec 20, 14:30 - 15:30 MYT). The panel features:
Voice Talent: Su Ling (Mayday), Steven Bones (Zuke), and Sam (Casey).
Creative Insight: A talk from Game Director Wan Hazmer.
Meet & Greet: A chance to meet the team at the Creative Factor Panel Room from 16:00 - 17:00 MYT.
The weekend also features a symphonic celebration of the game’s score. The ASEAN Digital Content Orchestra – MDEC will perform music from both No Straight Roads titles via a live theater orchestra, highlighting the best of ASEAN game composition.
What to Expect from the Sequel
No Straight Roads 2 expands on the critically acclaimed original with a global tour. Mayday, Zuke, and Casey are joined by a mysterious fourth bandmate as they face off against a new generation of musical rivals. Built with a fully reactive audio system and dynamic environments, the game promises deeper combat mechanics synchronized to a world-class soundtrack. The music team includes industry heavyweights like James Landino, Falk Au Yeong, and Garrett Williamson.
Coming soon to PC and consoles, NSR2 is poised to prove once again that rock will never die.
