The descent into psychological terror is reaching its climax. Guadalajara-based indie developer Blusagi Team has officially announced that Locked in My Darkness 2: The Room will launch on Steam on February 11, 2026. As the concluding chapter of a haunting trilogy, this title promises to tie together the narrative threads left dangling by its predecessors, Locked in My Darkness and Blue Maiden.
A Fresh Start Unravels
The story follows Yuki Tachibana, a Japanese high school student whose family has recently relocated to a modest apartment in New York City. While intended to be a new beginning, the move quickly transforms into a living nightmare. The apartment becomes a gateway to the past, as Yuki is forced to confront disturbing family secrets that manifest through shifting realities and surreal alternate dimensions.
Atmosphere Over Action
In keeping with the traditions of classic psychological horror, The Room prioritizes environmental storytelling over traditional combat. Players will navigate a first-person perspective to explore interconnected environments that blur the line between the physical world and Yuki’s fractured psyche. Key features of the experience include:
Environmental Puzzles: Solving riddles woven into the apartment’s architecture.
Surreal Exploration: Traversing nightmare landscapes inspired by legendary horror tropes.
Deep Lore: Uncovering scattered notes and objects that reveal the true history of the Tachibana family.
A Definitive Conclusion
Designed as a tight, immersive experience, the game offers roughly 2–3 hours of gameplay. However, the weight of the narrative is determined by the player; with multiple endings and various optional collectibles, the final outcome of Yuki’s journey depends entirely on the choices made and the secrets discovered within the walls of the apartment.
Led by solo developer Hugo Matos, Blusagi Team continues its mission to deliver high-tension, atmospheric horror that lingers long after the screen goes dark. Horror fans can prepare to step into the darkness when the trilogy concludes this February.
