In a world of complex skill trees and endless tutorials, indie developer SoyKhaler and publisher Dojo System are stripping the action genre back to its rhythmic bones. Today, they announced that the acclaimed first-person platformer Parkour Labs will officially launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and Virtual Reality (Meta Quest and PSVR2) on March 12, 2026.
The Science of Flow
Originally built on a foundation of loyal PC players, Parkour Labs isn't a traditional racer. Instead, it positions each level as a "precision lab." There are no artificial power-ups or unlockable abilities; the only thing that levels up is the player’s own skill.
"I always wanted to make a game where the player genuinely feels they’re improving," says creator SoyKhaler. "Not unlocking something—actually getting better." This philosophy of "genuine improvement" has turned the game into a viral hit, with a community dedicated to sharing perfect runs and spectacular failures within its vibrant, vaporwave-inspired environments.
A Multidimensional Leap
The March 12 launch represents the definitive version of the title. While console players on PS5, Xbox, and Switch will enjoy optimized controller support and refined haptics, the Virtual Reality debut on Meta Quest and PSVR2 promises to be a game-changer. In VR, the game’s signature focus on trajectory and momentum shifts from a visual experience to a physical one, making movement something the player truly feels.
Existing fans on PC aren't being left behind, either. Simultaneously with the console launch, Steam players will receive a massive free update featuring brand-new environments and full VR support, ensuring the community remains united across all platforms.
Key Features at a Glance:
Pure Parkour: A first-person focus where movement is the sole protagonist.
Vaporwave Aesthetic: Minimalist, neon-soaked worlds designed for visual clarity and flow.
VR Integration: A natural extension of control that immerses the player in the environment.
Community Driven: Perfect for speedrunners and players seeking personal mastery.
