Electronic Arts and developer Bit Reactor, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, have officially announced that Star Wars Zero Company will launch on August 27, 2026. The single-player, turn-based tactics game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-orders now live across all platforms. An action-packed gameplay trailer has also debuted, offering a first look at the title's gritty, cinematic take on tactical combat.
The game features an original narrative set during the clandestine conflicts of the Clone Wars. Players assume the role of Hawks, a former Galactic Republic officer leading an unconventional mercenary outfit known as Zero Company. The specialized team features unique operatives from across the galaxy, including a standard Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian from the ancient Clan Verminoth, and a rogue Jedi Padawan. Together, the group must track down and stop Kundri Fathom, the leader of a dangerous Separatist-aligned cult called the Infinite Coil.
Between combat missions, players will manage operations from their base, known as The Den. The hub allows players to recruit new operators, upgrade facilities, buy equipment, and select tactical deployments from a central holotable. The game features an expansive galaxy map spanning more than 150 planets, where strategic choices directly influence how the journey unfolds. On the battlefield, players can develop deep bonds between characters to unlock helpful support abilities and cross-training stat benefits.
Deep customization serves as a core feature of the gameplay experience. Players can customize Hawks and their recruited operators across eight iconic species, including Twi'lek, Zabrak, and Togruta, while adjusting voices, outfits, and combat specializations. The Standard Edition is available for pre-order alongside a Deluxe Edition, which unlocks exclusive Clone Wars-inspired cosmetic packs and weapon themes. Accompanying the launch, Walt Disney Records will officially release the game’s original soundtrack on August 27, featuring a brand-new score composed by Grammy Award-winner Gordy Haab.
