Publisher Outright Games has revealed Sesame Street: Friends & Fun, a brand-new 3D narrative adventure game inspired by the globally beloved children’s series. Coming October 9, 2026, to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the game delivers a story-driven, exploration-led experience designed specifically for preschoolers.
In Sesame Street: Friends & Fun, players move into the neighborhood just as preparations begin for a massive community celebration. Taking on the role of the newest resident on the street, players can fully customize their own character, personalize their home, and join iconic neighbors in getting everything ready for the party. The adventure unfolds through interactive storytelling and playful surprises as players befriend beloved residents, including Elmo, Grover, Bert, and Ernie.
The title encourages exploration in safe, welcoming locations inspired by the long-running television show. Mini-games and interactive tasks are woven seamlessly throughout the main story, subtly introducing early math skills and fundamental concepts. Designed with young children in mind, the focus remains entirely on a warm, funny, and heartfelt narrative without any mechanical pressure. Intuitive controls and positive reinforcement combine to make it an accessible first gaming experience for preschoolers. Furthermore, grown-ups, siblings, and friends can join the fun via two-player local co-op, allowing parents to feel confident letting children explore independently in a trusted world.

Since its television debut in 1969, the property has become one of the most trusted brands in children's media, currently reaching more than 300 million households across 190 countries and 30 languages.
Developed in partnership with the global nonprofit Sesame Workshop, the upcoming release strengthens children’s personal connections to these classic characters. Sesame Street: Friends & Fun will be available globally this autumn on all major platforms.
