Red Titans, a brand-new vertical arcade action shoot ’em up that pays homage to the golden age of 1980s and 1990s arcade machines, is set to launch officially on Thursday, 9 July 2026. Developed by independent studio Team Black Hat Robot and published by Dojo System, the retro-inspired title will be available digitally on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox platforms for €6.99. Ahead of the release, eager players can secure a 15% pre-order discount on the Nintendo and Xbox digital storefronts until 8 July.
The high-octane single-player experience drops players into the cockpit of the deadliest starship ever constructed. Navigating burning skies after the global fleet has fallen, the lone pilot must test their reflexes and precision across intense, bullet-filled battlefields where every dodge determines survival. The game features a striking visual and audio aesthetic inspired by classic pixel-art arcade halls, seamlessly blending traditional mechanics with smooth, modern performance.
The title offers two distinct gameplay styles to challenge players. Classic Mode features six comprehensive, enemy-dense stages equipped with traditional weapon power-ups, devastating screen-clearing bombs, and massive end-of-stage area bosses. While players are permitted to use continues to complete the story in this mode, doing so incurs a severe penalty to their overall high score. Conversely, Survival Mode raises the stakes across four specialized stages featuring a scalable upgrade system that directly rewards aggressive play; the more enemies destroyed, the more powerful the ship becomes. However, this mode enforces a strict single-life rule with no second chances.
Red Titans represents the latest console release from Team Black Hat Robot, an independent development collective based out of Chile and Mexico whose previous credentials include Space Dragons, Q-YO Blaster, and Little Fighters on Stream. The project marks their major transition into the console market following years of dedicated PC development. Digital review keys are currently available for media outlets upon request through Dojo System's official distribution channels.
