EE and Nintendo have teamed up to bring Wuhu Island to London, offering fans an exclusive sneak preview of the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch Sports Resort at the EE Studio in Westfield, White City. The immersive event gives visitors a hands-on preview of the game ahead of its official release on Thursday, 22 October 2026 for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Running through 13 August, the exclusive preview allows attendees to be among the very first to test out the game. Fans can revisit classic activities that originally captured audiences, such as tennis, bowling, volleyball, golf, basketball, boxing, and table tennis, while also getting a first look at brand-new additions like skateboarding, power cruising, and thumb wrestling.

The interactive showcase continues into the weekend from 14 to 16 August with a series of multiplayer tournaments held hourly in the venue's Gaming Zone. Visitors can climb into a Mario-themed go-kart to compete in Mario Kart World or flex their skills in Star Fox, a remake of the classic Star Fox 64, with tournament winners taking home exclusive prizes. Additionally, Mario himself is making special appearances throughout the store to welcome shoppers and pose for photos.

Nichola Chandler, Partnerships Director at EE, highlighted that the summer of sport provided the perfect backdrop to offer gamers an early look at Wuhu Island in 4K. She added that as the home of gaming, EE remains committed to delivering premium experiences powered by top-tier UK connectivity and strong partnerships with globally loved brands.

The event forms part of EE's broader effort to establish its flagship Westfield space—the UK's largest telco retail store—as a premier destination for gaming culture, combining hands-on physical experience zones with digital entertainment. EE customers looking forward to the autumn launch can already pre-order Nintendo Switch Sports Resort for the Nintendo Switch 2 directly through EE.
