Publisher PQube alongside developers Secret Level Studios and Twin Hearts have announced a Steam closed beta for action-RPG sequel Kitaria Fables 2, running from September 7 to September 21, 2026. The beta will offer selected PC players early access to over half of the main story campaign ahead of the game's planned digital release in Spring 2027.

Alongside the beta announcement, the developers released a new story trailer introducing the Arkadera Peninsula, a wilderness region at the edge of the Empire where abandoned outposts have been reclaimed by nature. The narrative centers on Royal Army Pathfinder Alice Skylar and local guide Dusty Tuftkin as they join the Royal Academy Expedition Team to restore Whitewall Town's errand house, repair wilderness outposts, and investigate a mysterious figure emerging from the northern wilds.

The game introduces two distinct playable protagonists, each featuring custom skill trees, special elemental spells, and unique combat abilities. Exploration spans diverse biomes across the Arkadera wilderness, including deep forests, marshes, rugged highlands, and snow-capped mountains.

In addition to combat and questing, Kitaria Fables 2 expands on the life-simulation elements of the original title. Players can gather resources to craft equipment, brew potions, and cook meals with artisans in Whitewall Town. The farming system allows players to restore Aunt Kiki's farmstead, cultivate rare crops, and expand agricultural facilities for profit. The complete campaign supports both local and online two-player co-op, allowing players to progress through the story together.

Beta registration opens today and will remain active through September 4, 2026. Player feedback gathered during the two-week testing period will be used to refine gameplay mechanics ahead of the official launch.

Kitaria Fables 2 is scheduled for digital release in Spring 2027 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
