Saber Interactive, in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences, has revealed the story trailer for Turok: Origins, announcing a Spring 2027 release date across major gaming platforms.

Debuted during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live showcase, the announcement was accompanied by an extended cut of the trailer, providing a closer look at the fast-paced sci-fi shooter. The upcoming game marks the modern revival of the dinosaur-hunting franchise originally launched in 1997 with Turok: Dinosaur Hunter.

Developed and published by Saber Interactive, Turok: Origins transports players to the Lost Lands, where members of the Order of the Turok must defend humanity against hostile dinosaur populations and an invading alien force known as the Xenia. The title combines first-person and third-person combat perspectives, allowing players to utilize futuristic weaponry alongside mystical character abilities.

Gameplay features include online cooperative multiplayer, allowing players to complete the main campaign solo or alongside teammates. The game introduces upgradeable weapon arsenals—ranging from bows and shotguns to plasma rifles and experimental alien technology—as well as collectible abilities known as Echoes, which allow for combat
customization. Environments across the Lost Lands will feature ancient ruins, dense jungle terrain, and alien landscapes populated by massive boss encounters.

The title expands Saber Interactive's lineup of licensed titles, which includes Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Jurassic Park: Survival, and World War Z. The original Turok series was based on the comic book character of the same name, spawning multiple sequels across successive console generations.

Turok: Origins is scheduled for release in Spring 2027 on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Digital wishlisting for the game is now available across supported platform digital storefronts.
