Independent developer Nementic Games and publisher Curve Games have officially released Cloudscrapers, a cozy, minimalist tower-building strategy game available now on Steam. Designed as an accessible, bite-sized experience, the title invites players to construct ambitious towers, manage resources, and uncover mysteries hidden above the clouds.
In Cloudscrapers, players build upwards through hand-painted fantasy biomes while balancing resources, surviving the elements, and unlocking permanent upgrades between runs. Each attempt offers a chance to climb higher and uncover an original fantasy storyline explaining why the towers are being constructed. The game features full controller support and has launched with Steam Deck Verification, making it suited for playing at a desk or on the move.
The title marks a significant milestone for Nementic Games, serving as the first project created following the studio's restructuring into a focused two-person team led by founders Julian and Sebastian. Lead Game Designer Sebastian Jantschke noted that after nearly two years in development, the team aimed to create a strategy experience providing the satisfaction of building and progression without becoming overwhelming.
The game's atmosphere is complemented by an original soundtrack featuring vocal performances by Mariya Anastasova, known for her work on Baldur's Gate 3. To celebrate the release, Cloudscrapers has launched alongside special Steam bundle discounts featuring complementary titles including SUMMERHOUSE, Town to City, and Pile Up!.
