Independent studio Psychotronic has officially launched the playable demo for Death Dealer, a six-player multiplayer horror party game where friends must either work together or turn on each other. The demo debuted yesterday and will remain active through Steam Next Fest, running from 19 to 26 October, before switching off on 29 October. The full commercial release is scheduled to follow shortly after on 4 November.

Death Dealer combines social card games with lethal hide-and-seek mechanics. Players gather around the card table where losing a round marks you as the target. The loser must run, hide, and attempt to survive against their former companions in tense, chaos-filled matches elevated by proximity voice chat.

The game introduces several unique gameplay twists to keep the momentum going. During "Shotgun Time," hunters are given a strict countdown to eliminate their target. If time expires before they succeed, the hunter becomes the prey as the hunted player receives a shotgun to exact revenge. Additionally, players can win chips and spin personal slot machines to trigger strange effects, gameplay modifiers, and temporary boosts.

Formed by a two-person team boasting nearly 50 years of collective industry experience, Psychotronic aims to deliver a title that feels playfully unsettling while rapidly shifting from calm tension to outright panic. By merging competitive table games with high-stakes horror mechanics, the developers offer a fresh take on party gaming where friends generate the mayhem.

The playable demo is available to download directly from the official Steam store page today. PC players can test their luck and survival instincts with up to five friends throughout the Steam Next Fest showcase ahead of the game's official 4 November launch.
