Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have revealed a detailed first look at Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC Season 5. Marking the biggest content drop in the title's history, the action shifts to Nevada with three brand-new maps, a high-octane battle royale variant, a limited-time Dead Space crossover event, and long-requested community features including a dedicated server browser and Platoons.

Officially kicking off on 13 October 2026, Phase 1 (Siege of Las Vegas) introduces two distinct environments: Vegas Strip and Area 51. The former transforms the neon-lit boulevard into an urban warzone complete with multi-story casinos, grand restaurants, and sprawling subterranean tunnels. Meanwhile, Area 51 takes players beyond the city limits into desert hills and subterranean research facilities.

Alongside Phase 1, Battlefield REDSEC debuts Rapid Royale—a compact, fast-paced take on battle royale unfolding directly across the Las Vegas strip. Featuring smaller player counts and faster round times, players earn redeploy tokens by scoring kills, though required elimination thresholds increase as the match progresses. Competitive play also returns with the REDSEC Elite Series offering a $1,338,000 global prize pool.

"Battlefield 6 is now one year old and what an incredible journey it’s been," says Patrick Klaus, General Manager of Battlefield Studios. "We’re ending 2026 with a bang with three maps set in and around Las Vegas, a new way to experience REDSEC, as well as delivering on some of our community’s most requested features. There’s never been a better time to play."

Just in time for Halloween, a non-canon Dead Space crossover event runs from 20 October through 7 November. Set beneath Area 51, players will battle through spaces adapted from the 2023 remake to unlock unique cosmetic rewards.
