Check out 24 minutes of the upcoming survival horror sequel; Tormented Souls 2

We have fantastic news! Finally, a gameplay reveal for the upcoming survival horror sequel, Tormented Souls 2. The original game was a survival horror gem revived in style, classic horror tropes and gameplay elements in spectacular fashion.

We loved the original game from the developer Dual Effect, & Abstract Digital, and you can see our glowing review for both Xbox Series X/S and PC. Now we got our first proper glimpse at the sequel, which aims to invoke the same compelling survival horror gameplay, with a labyrinth-like environment, collecting lots and lots of key items, and running away from the darkness and spooky monsters.

In the reveal, we can see the return of our hero Caroline as she explores a rather complex, and sinister-looking monastery, looking for multiple key items that can be combined to saw off a frozen hand, make a powerful nailgun (making a return from the first game), and even the first puzzle which sees Caroline using a pin tack with a locked book with a crucified Jesus on it (you could guess where this goes), and it's utterly brilliant.

The environment is maze-like, the amount of items you are collecting somewhat ridiculous, and the horrifying notion of darkness engulfing you and monsters breaking through doors, gave us the chills. This extended gameplay presentation offers a terrifying glimpse at the upcoming return to the world of the critically acclaimed Tormented Souls. Set 6 months after their original ordeal, this relentless experience takes you on a journey full of dark secrets and shocking twists.

The entire universe has been completely re-imagined from the ground up, now in Unreal Engine 5. This first reveal shows the haunting beauty of the meticulously designed environments the original game was praised for, with the developers promising to elevate the horror experience to unprecedented levels!

Survival horror fans will be pleased to see a return of the fixed camera as Caroline battles formidable enemies with only makeshift weapons to defend herself. Navigate a pulse-pounding experience which promises to be three times the size of the original Tormented Souls.

In true survival horror fashion, Tormented Souls 2 will have a haunting atmosphere, twisted puzzles, terrifying enemies, a harrowing story, gruesome psychological horror, intense combat, relentless suspense, and nightmarish locations.
